Electronic equipment recycling usually means that the used equipment is taken apart, and the materials shipped overseas to be melted down. Though this means that the toxic parts from ‘recycled’ equipment isn’t ending up in New Zealand landfills, this solution doesn’t really solve the problem of e-waste. It may even increase, rather than decrease, the environmental impact.

REEFS does things differently.

We refurbish used equipment right here in New Zealand. This avoids the environmental impact of transporting new units to NZ, and sending used, but still serviceable equipment and parts overseas, as well as minimizing local e-waste. Printers

Our printers are ex-lease, which means that they have been used for a few years in businesses until the lease has expired. We then refurbish them; stripping them down and replacing worn parts. Each printer is thoroughly tested prior to sale. We stock a wide variety of models including mono, colour and multifunction laser jet printers. We specialise in Hewlett Packard, Lexmark, Fuji Xerox and Canon. Because shipping a printer with a cartridge in can cause damage, and because we can’t guarantee how much toner a partially used cartridge might have in it, printers are sold without cartridges. You will need a cartridge to use your printer, which you can purchase from us at the same time. We also stock and supply network cards and accessories. Our confidence in the product means that we have no qualms about offering our 120 day warranty.

Toners

Where possible, the toners we offer for sale are fully remanufactured right here in New Zealand.The ones we sell are only selected after extensive testing, to ensure they perform equal to, or better than the OEM version. These of course carry a 90 day warranty.

Fusers and Maintenance Kits

Our Fusers and Maintenance Kits are fully refurbished here in New Zealand, and have a 90 day, no quibble replacement warranty.
